Participants will learn what FDM 3D printers are best used for, what materials are available, and the basic workflow for preparing and running a print.\nTopics include:\n\nWhat FDM 3D printing is and common use cases\nOverview of available filament materials and their differences\nSafety guidelines and best practices\nBasic slicer concepts and print setup\nStarting, monitoring, and removing prints properly\nCommon print issues and basic troubleshooting\nCleanup and care expectations for shared equipment\n\nCompletion of this training is required for members before using FDM 3D printers independently during makerspace access hours.\nNo prior 3D printing experience is required—this session is designed for beginners and those new to FDM printing.\nSigning-up helps us plan.\n
