DESCRIPTION:This introductory equipment training covers the fundamentals of using our multi-color 3D printer to produce parts with multiple colors and materials in a single print. Participants will learn when multi-color printing is the right tool, how it differs from standard single-color FDM printing, and the basic workflow for preparing and running a successful multi-color print.\nTopics include:\n\nWhat multi-color 3D printing is and common use cases\nDifferences between single-color and multi-color print workflows\nSupported materials and color combinations\nBasic slicer setup for multi-color prints\nManaging color changes and transitions\nStarting, monitoring, and finishing a multi-color print\nCleanup and care expectations for shared equipment\n\nCompletion of FDM 3D Printing Equipment Training (Intro) is required before using the multi-color printer independently during makerspace access hours.\nNo prior multi-color printing experience is required. This session is designed for members who already have a basic understanding of FDM 3D printing and want to expand their capabilities.\nSigning-up helps us plan.\n
