SUMMARY:Community Projects: Soldering Circuits & Fixing Things (Q3)
DESCRIPTION:Soldering Circuits & Fixing Things is a members-only, mentoring and collaborative Community Projects cohort focused on hands-on electronics, repair, and practical problem-solving. Participants work on their own small projects—learning how to solder, troubleshoot circuits, and repair or modify electronic devices with guidance from mentors and fellow makers.\nThis cohort is designed for learning by doing. Some participants may be brand new to soldering, while others may be repairing devices, improving existing circuits, or experimenting with small electronics projects. The group learns together by sharing techniques, successes, and lessons learned along the way.\nWhat to expect:\n\nIntroductory and refresher guidance on soldering techniques\nWorking with basic circuits, components, and tools\nTroubleshooting and diagnosing common electronics issues\nRepairing, modifying, or repurposing electronic items\nMentoring support and peer collaboration in a low-pressure environment\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring items they want to fix or experiment with, such as small electronics, kits, or personal projects. The cohort adapts to participant interests and skill levels, making it a great entry point into electronics and hands-on repair.\nThis cohort is ideal for makers who want practical skills, confidence with electronics tools, and a collaborative space to learn how things work—and how to fix them.\nSigning-up helps us plan.\n
