Participants will learn what the laser cutter can do, what materials are appropriate to use, and the basic workflow for preparing and running a job.\nTopics include:\n\nWhat a laser cutter is and the types of projects it’s best suited for\nApproved materials and material limitations\nSafety rules and best practices\nBasic file setup and job workflow\nStarting, monitoring, and finishing a laser job\nCleanup and care expectations for shared equipment\n\nCompletion of this training is required for members before using the laser cutter independently during makerspace access hours.\nNo prior laser experience is required—this session is designed for beginners and those new to the equipment.\nGet Connected to receive updates and information on happenings in our community.\n
