SUMMARY:2026 MITEE Gobble Squabble: Open Robotics Competition
DESCRIPTION:Build a bot. Test your design. Compete with other builders.\nJoin us Saturday, November 21, for Open Robotics Competition (ORC) at Monumental Impact’s 6th Annual MITEE Gobble Squabble ( https://monumentalimpact.org/events/mitee-gobble-squabble-2026/ ). Bring your ORC bot to compete, or come watch builders put their designs to the test.\nORC gives high school students, college students, and adults an approachable way to explore robotics through building, testing, troubleshooting, and friendly competition. Families, mentors, prospective builders, and guests are welcome.\nEvent timeline\nORC matches are planned for approximately 3:30–5:00 p.m. Builder check-in, setup, and detailed match times will be announced as plans are finalized.\nCome earlier to explore the Makers & Community Expo, planned for 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., and see the other Gobble Squabble robotics events. Food trucks are also planned for the day.\nHow to compete\nCurrent ORC builders and newcomers are welcome. You do not need to be a Monumental Impact member to compete at this event.\nInterested in competing? Email enable@monumentalimpact.org ( mailto:enable@monumentalimpact.org ) with your name, team or builder name, and whether you plan to bring a robot. We’ll follow up with participation details as they are confirmed.\nNew to ORC? Learn about the Open Robotics Competition program ( https://monumentalimpact.org/open-robotics-competition-orc/ ) and how to get started.\nCome watch\nGuests are welcome to watch the matches, meet builders, ask questions, and discover how to get involved. You don’t need to be a member or bring a robot to enjoy the competition.\nVolunteer\nVolunteers help with setup, builder check-in, guest information, match support, and cleanup. Visit our Volunteer page ( https://monumentalimpact.org/volunteer/ ) and mention Gobble Squabble: ORC when you reach out. Food will be provided for event volunteers.\nSupport the Gobble Squabble and Our Robotics Community\nGobble Squabble brings builders, teams, makers, mentors, and neighbors together around what they love to create. Your gift helps us keep the cost low for competitors, provide food for volunteers, and welcome makers and community organizations to share their work at the expo without a table fee.\nThat support reaches beyond one day. It helps more people find their place in a community where they can learn from one another, build new skills, and encourage the next generation of innovators.\nSupport the 2026 MITEE Gobble Squabble and our robotics community.\nGet event updates\nFor confirmed schedules, guest information, and news about ORC and the other Gobble Squabble activities, Get Connected ( https://monumentalimpact.org/get-connected/ ) and subscribe to the Monumental Impact newsletter. To compete or volunteer, follow the instructions above.\n
