SUMMARY:Monumental Impact 1-Year Location Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating one year in Palmer Lake — and a new chapter of community making.\nJoin Monumental Impact as we celebrate our 1-Year Anniversary in our current location at 866 Highway 105 in Palmer Lake.\nMonumental Impact has been serving the community since 2020, beginning with programs based out of Grace Best in downtown Monument in a collaborative partnership with Lewis Palmer School District 38 (D38). In 2025, we moved into our current location and began an important new chapter — expanding from student-focused programs into a broader community makerspace serving high school students, college students, adults, and senior adults.\nThis anniversary celebrates that transition, the community that helped make it possible, and the growing opportunities now available through Monumental Impact.\nWhat to Expect\nGuests are invited to tour the makerspace, meet members and volunteers, see projects in progress, and learn how Monumental Impact is supporting hands-on learning, creativity, robotics, entrepreneurship, and community connection.\nDuring the celebration, you can:\n\nTour our Palmer Lake makerspace\nMeet members, mentors, interns, volunteers, and community partners\nSee examples of student-made and member-made projects\nLearn about makerspace memberships and open hours\nExplore robotics programs, including FIRST Tech Challenge, Combat Robotics, and Open Robotics Competition\nDiscover Made @ Monumental Impact and entrepreneurship efforts\nAsk questions about equipment, mentoring, volunteering, donating, and getting connected\n\nWho Should Attend\nThis event is open to the public and is a great fit for:\n\nFamilies and students exploring hands-on learning opportunities\nCollege students looking for practical experience and community\nAdults and senior adults interested in making, mentoring, learning, or joining the makerspace\nArtists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and builders looking for workspace and collaboration\nLocal businesses and organizations interested in partnership or sponsorship\nDonors, volunteers, and supporters who want to see the impact of their involvement\nCommunity members who are simply curious about what happens inside a makerspace\n\nWhy We’re Celebrating\nThis anniversary is not the beginning of Monumental Impact — it is the celebration of a major step forward.\nOur move from Grace Best into our current Palmer Lake location allowed us to broaden our programs, welcome more generations into the makerspace, and create a community-centered space where people can explore, create, compete, mentor, and build together.\nOver the past year, this location has become a home for technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, art, robotics, product development, career readiness, and hands-on learning.\nWe are grateful for the members, students, families, volunteers, donors, sponsors, mentors, and partners who have helped this chapter take shape. A building gives you walls and a roof. A community gives it purpose — and occasionally fills it with robots, 3D prints, soldering fumes, and very good ideas.\nAbout Monumental Impact\nMonumental Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community makerspace serving high school students, college students, adults, and senior adults.\nLocated in Palmer Lake, we provide access to tools, technology, workspace, mentoring, and community so people can explore ideas, build practical skills, create projects, develop products, and compete in robotics.\nGuests Are Welcome\nYou do not need to be a current member to attend. Come celebrate with us, tour the space, meet the community, and learn how to get connected.\nExplore. Create. Compete.\n
