Community Projects: Makers Gonna Make (Q2)
Makers Gonna Make is a members-only, mentoring and collaborative Community Projects cohort where participants work on their own personal projects alongside other makers. Rather than following a shared build or fixed curriculum, this cohort is about making progress on what you want to create—supported by mentors, peer feedback, and a collaborative makerspace environment.
Participants may be working on very different projects, but the shared goal is momentum: setting goals, problem-solving together, and helping each other move projects forward. This cohort welcomes a wide range of interests, skill levels, and project types.
Some participants may choose to prepare a project to share with the broader community at the July 4th Street Fair, while others may simply focus on advancing a personal or passion project. Either path is welcome—the cohort adapts to participant goals.
What to expect:
- Mentoring support for individual projects
- Peer collaboration and idea-sharing
- Time and space to work, test, and iterate
- Help overcoming blockers and technical challenges
- Optional preparation for community-facing showcases
This cohort is ideal for makers who want accountability, encouragement, and a collaborative setting while working on projects that matter to them.
