Digital Designers: FreeCAD Mentoring (Q1)
This mentoring-style Digital Designers cohort supports members learning FreeCAD through guided exploration and participant-driven questions. The first session provides an overview of FreeCAD, including its interface, core concepts, and basic workflows, giving everyone a shared starting point.
Follow-up sessions are shaped by participant how-to questions, challenges, and real design needs. Rather than following a fixed lesson plan, this cohort adapts to the interests and experience levels of those participating.
Schedule (Q1 2026):
- Starts: Tuesday, February 17
- Meets: Tuesdays
- Duration: Approximately 5 sessions (may adjust based on participant needs)
What to expect:
- An introductory overview of FreeCAD in the first session
- Mentoring support for modeling techniques and workflows
- Help troubleshooting designs and solving real project challenges
- Guidance preparing models for fabrication
- A collaborative, low-pressure learning environment
This cohort is well-suited for members who want to move beyond beginner tools, explore parametric design concepts, or apply FreeCAD to real projects at their own pace.
