Digital Designers: Fusion 360 Fundamentals (Q2)
This instructional Digital Designers cohort introduces the fundamentals of Fusion 360, a powerful CAD tool used for mechanical design, product development, and prototyping. Participants learn core concepts and workflows through guided instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.
Each session builds on the previous one, helping participants develop confidence designing parts and assemblies that can be fabricated using tools such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters. The focus is on understanding why design choices matter, not just which buttons to click.
What you’ll learn:
- Navigating the Fusion 360 interface and workspace
- Sketching and constraining geometry
- Creating parametric 3D parts and features
- Editing designs through design intent and parameters
- Preparing models for fabrication and prototyping
- Best practices for clean, editable designs
This cohort follows a structured learning path, but pacing may adjust slightly based on participant needs and experience levels.
Recommended for:
Members who have some familiarity with basic 3D design tools or who are ready to move beyond beginner platforms into more robust, parametric CAD workflows.
