Entrepreneurship: Optimizing Product Batches (Q3)

Optimizing Product Batches is a members-only, mentoring-style Entrepreneurship cohort focused on improving how products are produced in small batches. Participants work on their own product ideas or existing offerings while collaborating with mentors and peers to refine workflows, reduce friction, and make batch production more efficient and repeatable.

This cohort is ideal for makers who already have a product—or a prototype that’s close—and want to move from “one-off” builds to consistent, scalable batches. The focus is on practical decisions: materials, tooling, setup time, finishing, quality control, and where effort is best spent.

Rather than following a fixed curriculum, learning is driven by real production challenges and shared problem-solving across the group.

What to expect:

• Evaluating products for batch-friendly design
• Improving workflows for repeatability and consistency
• Reducing setup time and production bottlenecks
• Exploring jigs, fixtures, templates, and process improvements
• Balancing quality, time, and cost tradeoffs
• Mentoring support and peer feedback throughout the process

Participants should expect to cover the cost of materials used for their individual products or batches. Projects may involve laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC, assembly, finishing, packaging, or a combination of tools and techniques.
