This lakeside community celebration brings together paddleboard races, a barbecue cook-off, the always-entertaining “Dumb Things That Float” competition, live music, food trucks, and a local business marketplace.

Monumental Impact will be participating in the local marketplace with a collection of items created through Made @ Monumental Impact.

Our booth will feature:

• Products developed and made by student interns participating in our Career Readiness Entrepreneurship Program
• Creative work and products donated by Monumental Impact members
• Opportunities to learn more about our makerspace, membership, internships, and entrepreneurship programs

Purchases from our booth will help raise funds to support Monumental Impact’s nonprofit makerspace, student programs, equipment access, mentoring, and hands-on learning opportunities.

Made @ Monumental Impact

Made @ Monumental Impact helps students and community members explore the process of turning ideas into real products. Participants gain practical experience with product development, digital fabrication, pricing, marketing, customer feedback, and selling within a public marketplace.

The collection represents the creativity of our makerspace community while giving emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity to test their ideas, build useful career skills, and learn what it takes to bring a product to market.

Stop by our booth, meet members of our community, and take home something made locally while supporting hands-on learning and entrepreneurship in the Tri-Lakes region.

About the Event

The Tri-Lakes Smokin’ Showdown & Palmer Paddle is an annual community event organized by Awake Palmer Lake. Event activities include paddleboard competitions, a barbecue cook-off, the “Dumb Things That Float” contest, live entertainment, food trucks, and booths from local businesses and organizations.
