Community Projects: Makers Gonna Gift-Make! (Q4)
Makers Gonna Gift-Make! is a members-only, mentoring and collaborative Community Projects cohort where participants design and create handmade gifts for friends, family, and community members. Participants work on their own gift projects while learning from mentors and collaborating with other makers in a supportive, creative environment.
This cohort is project-driven and flexible. Some participants may be designing personalized items, others may be experimenting with small-batch gifts, keepsakes, or practical creations. The shared focus is thoughtful making—using tools and skills to create meaningful gifts that reflect care, creativity, and craftsmanship.
What to expect:
- Mentoring support for individual gift ideas and projects
- Collaboration and idea-sharing with other makers
- Exploration of tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC, and hand tools
- Guidance on personalization, finishing, and presentation
- Time to prototype, refine, and complete gift-ready projects
Participants may choose to create gifts for holidays, special occasions, community giving, or just because. Projects and pacing are shaped by participant goals, making this cohort welcoming to a wide range of skill levels and creative interests.
This cohort is ideal for makers who enjoy creating with purpose, learning new techniques, and turning ideas into thoughtful, finished gifts.
