Summary
Work with team members across groups to capture stories and share our activities to our external community and partners through our different communication channels. Also includes team members managing updates to our website, tracking our performance, looking for competitive advantages in our PSEs* and gathering feedback from external partners and our community. (*PSEs is our shorthand for products, services and events that we offer to external and internal customers.)
Available Business Days & Hours
Varies. Remote work is potential if able to meet in-person up once every month in the evening or Saturdays. We work in Sprints and may schedule a focused meeting to complete many tasks on a topic.
Minimum Commitment: 60 hours under our internships

Minimum Age Level: 14 years old
Formal Hard Skill Training or Certificate Attainment
Successful completion may lead to elective course credit. Check with your school counselor.

Dress Code
Basic shop safety when in machine rooms and when robots are on:
- Safety glasses at all times.
- No open-toed shoes / crocs.
- Tie back long hair.
- No loose clothing (hoodie strings, overly loose sleeves, etc.) that could get caught in a spindle.
Training Description
- Compiling lists describing product or service offerings for both internal and external customers.
- Formulate and coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services.
- Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development funds, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
- Select products or accessories to be displayed at trade shows or events.
- Post and update content on website and social media.
Training Setting
Office environment within a student / mentor makerspace. Events may be inside or outside. Events may be in a gym or at a booth at a conference, street faire, craft fair, etc.
