Equipment Training
Learn the Equipment. Build Your Skills. Start Making.
Monumental Impact offers equipment training to help members safely and confidently use the tools and technology available in our makerspace.
Training introduces the basic operation of the equipment, important safety practices, and the steps needed to begin using it for your own projects.
Whether you are learning a new fabrication method or adding another tool to your maker toolkit, equipment training helps you move from an idea to something you can create.
Training Before Independent Use
Some equipment at Monumental Impact requires members to complete approved equipment training before using it independently, especially if your goal is to retain a key for project work time flexibility.
Training helps protect both the people using the equipment and the equipment itself while giving members a stronger foundation for successful projects.
After completing introductory training, members can continue building their skills through hands-on projects, mentoring, Open Hours, and Equipment Techniques sessions.
Don’t See the Training You Need?
Our equipment training schedule is based in part on member interest and the availability of our volunteer trainers.
If the training you need is not currently scheduled, let us know you are interested.
Indicating your interest helps us understand demand and helps our volunteer trainers plan future training sessions around the needs of our members.
