2026 MITEE Gobble Squabble: Open Robotics Competition (ORC)
Build a bot. Test your design. Compete with other builders in match play.
Join us Saturday, November 21, for Open Robotics Competition (ORC) at Monumental Impact’s 6th Annual MITEE Gobble Squabble. Bring your ORC bot to compete, or come watch builders put their designs to the test in a competitive match play.
ORC gives high school students, college students, and adults an approachable way to explore robotics through building, testing, troubleshooting, and friendly competition. Families, mentors, prospective builders, and guests are welcome.
Event timeline
ORC matches are planned for approximately 10:30a.m.–4:30p.m. Builder check-in, setup, and detailed match times will be announced as plans are finalized on event day when we know how many participants we have.
How to compete
Current ORC builders and newcomers are welcome. You do not need to be a Monumental Impact member to compete at this event.
Interested in competing? You can register to compete with a robot on our MITEE Gobble Squabble Givebutter site. Email enable@monumentalimpact.org with your questions. We’ll follow up with participation details as we get closer to the the event.

Come watch
Guests are welcome to watch the matches, meet builders, ask questions, and discover how to get involved. You don’t need to be a member or bring a robot to enjoy the competition.
Volunteer
Volunteers help with setup, builder check-in, guest information, match support, and cleanup. Visit our Gobble Squabble Squad Sign-up Genius to volunteer. Food will be provided for event volunteers.
Support the Gobble Squabble and Our Robotics Community
Gobble Squabble brings builders, teams, makers, mentors, and neighbors together around what they love to create. Your gift helps us keep the cost low for competitors, provide food for volunteers, and welcome makers and community organizations to share their work at the expo without a table fee.
That support reaches beyond one day. It helps more people find their place in a community where they can learn from one another, build new skills, and encourage the next generation of innovators.
